As the New Year unfolded, many people embraced Dry January and took time to reflect on their relationship with alcohol and prioritise health and wellbeing. For families affected by drug or alcohol addiction, January can be bittersweet. While the world seems focused on a fresh start, you might still feel the weight of your loved one’s struggles. At Families Out Loud, we want you to know that you matter too.

Looking Back, Moving Forward

2024 was a year of growth for Families Out Loud. Thanks to your support, we provided life-changing counselling sessions, launched a new teen service to equip teens with family members in addiction with practical tools and support, and continued to create compassionate spaces where no one feels judged or alone. If you’ve been part of our journey, whether by attending a session, donating, or spreading the word, thank you. You’re the reason we can continue to help families across Wiltshire. As we step into 2025, we’re determined to keep building on that momentum.

What’s Ahead for Families Out Loud

This year, we’ll continue to stand by families, offering practical advice, compassionate counselling, and a community where you’ll always feel understood. With the support of our brilliant team, volunteers, and donors, we’ll be launching new initiatives and raising awareness to ensure every family in Wiltshire knows they’re not alone.

How You Can Help

If you’d like to be part of our mission this year, there are plenty of ways to get involved:

  • Spread the word about Families Out Loud—someone you know might need us.

  • Make a donation to help us expand our services.

  • Volunteer your time or skills to support our work.

  • Choose us as your charity of choice if you’re a Co-op Member

As we move through January and the rest of the year, let’s remember that hope is always on the horizon. Together, we can create a future with no stigma, no shame—just support, understanding, and healing.

Here’s to a brighter 2025 for all families. 💙

If you or someone you know needs support, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at Families Out Loud. You’re not alone.
